The influence of my father and the environment.
Miu: The Aigle jacket you were trying on earlier was also pink.
Biyu:I like it. I often wear red and pink.
Have you heard of the brand "Aigle"?
Biyu:Of course. When I think of "Aigle," I think of rubber boots. This was the first time for me to take a closer look at the clothes, but I found the colors of all the items to be very beautiful! I don't have many outdoor items, but I wanted to wear these in the city.

Aigle is a lifestyle brand that supports both city life and life in nature, so it has more clothes that can be worn in the city than other outdoor brands. By the way, what criteria do you use to select your clothes?
Biyu:I guess I go to a lot of exhibitions of my friends. I rarely go out for shopping anymore.
When I am stressed out, I sometimes snap a few things up (laughs), but lately I have become reluctant to buy new items when I think about the environment. I try to buy items that I think are worth paying for, whether it is the production background or trust in the people involved with the brand.
What was the impetus for this? Was Miu's father (Ryuichi Sakamoto) a small influence?
Biyu:I have been watching their activities since I was a small child, so of course my father's influence has been a big part of my life. And more recently, I have also been greatly influenced by my friends who are willing to do something about environmental issues. Also, in New York, where I spent my youth, environmental issues and life are tied together on a daily basis. For example, we would discuss politics based on our daily conversation about the temperature, such as "the glaciers are melting due to global warming," and all of our lives and environmental issues were connected to each other.

I think it takes a lot of courage to keep sending out messages like that.
Biyu:When I sent out the message in my own words, I was confronted with the realization that there were people who would hurl such heartless words at me, and I finally understood how courageous and hungry my father was to do what he did at that time.
I think that's a good thing, especially when it comes to politics.
Biyu:Political statements will lose you a lot of followers on social networking sites (laughs).
But I believe that my life, my work, my cultural affairs, all of them are connected to both politics and the environment, so now I have to communicate them in my own words.
