Eagle , and more trees.

Do you do anything consciously for the environment on a daily basis?

Biyu:Anyway, I try to avoid producing garbage as much as possible, but it's a trial and error process in my daily life. But then, there are few things I can buy comfortably. . For example, the dilemma I feel when I have to buy bottled water when my daughter's water bottle, which she usually drinks a lot of water when we are out and about, is empty. When my husband buys a lot of lunches and side dishes in plastic containers in the middle of the night, I feel like "I'm trying to recycle even the plastic that the chikuwa is in by washing and drying it! . ." (laughs).

When I am alone and buy something to eat on the road, I think about what will generate the least amount of waste and think, "Hmmm... a meat bun from a convenience store! (laughs). But I think this effort is the price I have to pay for spending as much as I want, and it is something I need to change.

What was the reason why you decided to support the forest conservation organization "more trees"?

Biyu:You can contribute to the environment with a real sense of responsibility, and the product you are putting out is wonderful. . And as a premise, I basically trust what the professor is doing. If it is the result of his tremendous research skills, I am sure of it.

AEGLE is also a co-sponsor of the event, but as a brand, we are facing the dilemma of making clothes while appealing to environmental issues.

Biyu:I think so. But it is difficult not to buy things at all, because it would give us less pleasure to live in the modern world. . Therefore, it is important to choose things that have less impact on the environment. In this respect, Aigle is very environmentally friendly, isn't it?

The "AIGLE for more trees" charity T-shirt that Miu is wearing right now is also made of organic cotton from a production site that has a traceability system in place.

Biyu:. The illustrations on it are cute and it is comfortable to wear. I usually cut off the collar of T-shirts and remake them, but I think I can wear this one as it is. Also, I'm an adult now, and I want to wear quality T-shirts like these properly (laughs).

The same is true for clothing and the food we eat, but I believe that the actions and choices of each individual will become even more important in the future. It is only the accumulation of these actions and choices that counts, isn't it?

Miu wears a charity T-shirt made in Japan to support the activities of the "more trees" forest conservation organization. The T-shirts are printed with illustrations by French artist Isabelle Boinot and are made of organic cotton from Turkey. Eight percent of the proceeds will be donated to "more trees. ¥9,350 for each T-shirt , ¥10,890 for each long T-shirt

Can you tell us about your future plans?

Biyu:This year is the 25th anniversary of our activity, so we will be going to many places for live performances . . that will continue until next year, and the stage will begin in December. . I am still wondering when I will release my new music album. . But the publication of this book is a good commemoration of my 25th anniversary, and I feel that I have come to a conclusion.

Miu, what kind of food do you like?

Biyu:I don't drink alcohol, but I like izakaya menus . . like ume crystal, takobutsu, ham cutlets, etc. . Also, I look forward to going to a good okonomiyaki restaurant in Hiroshima!
