Details and materials are unique to the collaboration.
The silhouette of the jacket is loose-fitting.
Ishii:Yes, the size is also important. PFG was supported by the street scene in the 90s, so we created a roomy silhouette reminiscent of those days. I think it fits perfectly with my current mood.
Usami:It is different from the conventional "PFG" size. There is more room in the body, and the sleeves are a little shorter.

Ishii:Also, I didn't want it to fall down clattering despite the stand collar, so I asked them to make sure it stood up well.
Usami:The proto model had a softer core material, so we compared several different types and chose one that had a firm collar and was not heavy.
Hiramoto:You use the same fabric except for the bag. It is soft and pleasant to the touch.
Sugihara:The fabric has a super water-repellent finish and is subtly raised.
It looks like it's easy to use around town because it doesn't look like synthetic fiber. The color variations are also nice.
Sugihara:The jackets are black, beige, khaki, and orange. These are colors requested by Mr. Ishii.

Ishii:I had a few orange items from Columbia, and they were cool, so I had them add orange only to the jacket.
Ichikawa:I think it's good because every color has a tone that is not found inline and makes it feel special.
Despair Bay™ Jacket ¥27,500 This stand collar fishing jacket was designed based on the archives of "PFG" from the 1990s. It is functional with a total of nine pockets on the front. In addition, it is equipped with Columbia's unique Omni-Shield water repellant function, so it can withstand light rain and splashes when riding. This is a fishing jacket that can be worn both in town and for fishing.
Sugihara:Black, beige, and khaki are also different from the in-line colors, and orange is a bit rare in the current Columbia line. At the exhibition, I had the mannequins wear the orange jacket and black bottoms, and they were very well received.
Ichikawa:I think it's good because every color has a tone that is not found inline and makes it feel special.
The pants that can be worn as a set-up with the jacket can also be worn as shorts.

Despair Bay™ Convertible Pant ¥14,300 Designed to be worn with the jacket, the pants can also be worn as shorts by detaching the thigh zipper. They can be worn in any season and in any situation. The differently shaped flap pockets on the thighs each have a gusset, so they can be used in a variety of ways depending on your creativity.
Sugihara:It can be detached from the knees with a zipper. We were particular about the position of the zipper because the height at which it is detached makes a big difference in the appearance of the shorts when worn with shorts. It is set slightly above the knee. The silhouette is roomy at the thighs and tapers well below the knees.
Hiramoto:You follow the iconic pockets of the jacket.
Ishii:The left and right sides are placed in reverse, and I had them balanced when worn as a set-up. Vertical pockets, which at first glance may seem difficult to use, are convenient for storing cut lines. It can be used in many other ways depending on your ingenuity.

Usami:The jacket and pants have slightly smaller pocket gussets than normal fishing wear. If they were too large, they would be too assertive and would get in the way, so we adjusted the size so that they would be easy to use in town.
I see. And the pockets on the cap and hat are my personal favorite.
Usami:The cap is a long bill with a long brim. Surprisingly few brands release long-bill caps, and I prefer to wear caps made by brands that have a good background. Columbia has been releasing long-bill caps for a long time, so their items are very convincing. Also, many of the longbills have a shallow fit, so I asked them to make it a little deeper. I thought anyone could wear them without any resistance.

Pacific Point™ PFG Cap ¥6,160 This long bill cap features a long visor. It is also designed to fit a wide range of face shapes with a slightly deeper fit than conventional caps. A pocket on the right side of the head follows the design of the wears. A removable chinstrap is provided for safe fishing in windy conditions. Like the wears, it is equipped with the Omni-Shield water repellent function.
I'm glad I have a big head and don't like shallow caps.
Ishii:Another key point is the piping on the brim, which is a bit more classic.
Hiramoto:Hats are good too.

Ishii:The key to the hat is the brim. If the brim is short, it looks childish, and if it is long, it looks wild, so I had it adjusted to just the right length and angled so that it does not spread to the sides. I think it is good to wear it with the front of the brim turned up.
Pacific Point™ PFG Bucket ¥6,930 A hat is also available as a variation of the hat. The brim is angled slightly downward and is set at a length that allows the hat to be worn smartly and comfortably. The back of the hat has three pockets of different sizes, which are functional and also serve as design accents.
And the shoulder bag. It is a size that can be used both in town and for casual fishing.
Sugihara:It can be used for fishing, festivals, camping, and many other situations.
Ishii:The key to this is the daisy chain on the shoulder belt.
It's the kind of thing you hang small things from when you go camping.
Ishii:I was thinking it would be nice to be able to attach a key or coin purse with a carabiner. I can also attach a line cutter or something like that when fishing.
Cheat Loop™ PFG Shoulder ¥5,830 This mini-sized shoulder bag is not only practical for fishing, but also easy to use at festivals, camping, and for town use. The bag itself has a main compartment as well as an exterior pocket with a zipper and a pocket with a flap. The shoulder strap, which resembles a daisy chain, is very convenient for hooking carabiners or plastic bottles.

Ichikawa:It holds more luggage than you might think. It is also convenient to hang a plastic bottle.
Hiramoto:It is also perfect for fishing on land. I usually use a PFG shoulder bag, but this bag is smaller than that, so it is easy to use.

Ishii:This collaboration is designed to be wearable for fishing, but to fit in with the city. Even if you don't fish, we hope you will incorporate the functionality and interesting design of fishing wear into your daily life.
