What are the key points of coordination?
Arai:Everything except the shoes is made by Arc'teryx. The theme of this project is "If I were to work in this brand's store," he says (laughs).
I see (laughs). What's in your heart?
Arai:I think the staff at directly-managed stores look at items as gear, so they wear them in a true-to-size fit or coordinate them from an outdoor perspective. However, in my case, I would like to propose a slightly looser fit from a fashion point of view. But I think that if you wear this outfit and change the shoes, you can go on a simple hike, even if you can't go on a strenuous activity. It would be really cool to go outdoors wearing all Arc'teryx gear.
The color match of the whole body is also perfect.
Arai:Color coordination is one of my themes. If I don't match the colors, my body gets all mushy (laughs). I'm glad I found a pair of sneakers that matched the best.
Lastly, please tell us about the image you have of Arc'teryx.
Arai:It is still an image of a prestigious brand. It is well designed, highly functional, and of high quality. It is an authentic outdoor brand, but it has a mood that other brands do not have. The fact that it is a Canadian brand is also unique, and it has a sense of style that is neither American nor European. It touches on American casual style, but can also be worn in a mode-like manner. The balance between the two is exquisite. So, I would like you to try this special order in stores. What are the key points of coordination?
Kobayashi:With an awareness of authentic American casual, I combined a striped woven cap, wide chinos, and trekking shoes on my feet to create an earthy atmosphere. Arc'teryx's styling often has drawcords to create a more technical mood, but for this "DIMENSIONS" theme, we dared to use earth colors as the base color for the coordination.
Do you think that Arc'teryx is able to keep the earthy look from becoming too earthy while using earthy colors?
Kobayashi:I think so. Arcteryx is not only top-notch gear, but I also think it is a top-notch fashion item. The use of color and the logo design are stylish and give a somewhat tight impression.
I studied abroad in Seattle when I was 20 years old, and there were many items from this brand sold there. I got a jacket and was enjoying fashion, but Seattle is the rainiest city in the U.S., so I realized that it naturally functions as gear, and I realized that it is an item that can be used in any field.
The "Mantis 2 Waistpack" in the same color scheme is also an accent. It is also interesting to see it worn over the shoulders inside the jacket.
Kobayashi:If it is outside the jacket, the silhouette would be destroyed. It is also safer to keep it inside for security purposes. It is also simply easier to take the jacket on and off. I also wear this style when I go on business trips (laughs).

Chie Konuma Chie became a buyer for BEAMS BOY in 2017 after gaining experience at various stores as a buyer / store staff. In addition to her knowledge of clothing, she also has a deep knowledge of Indian jewelry and is in charge of buying in the United States.
What are the key points of coordination?
Small swamps:To ensure that customers who have not yet worn Arc'teryx clothes can coordinate with our clothes, we have paired them with the original US ARMY overpants that are a staple item at BEAMS BOY. These pants are popular every season, and I think many people have them in their wardrobe, so I hope they will find them useful.
