Diverse forms of elegance.
Dries Van Noten's show took place on the top floor of a multi-story parking garage owned by a used car dealership. The collection presented at the location overlooking the city of Paris was based on the keyword "Unusual elegance. Unconventional styles were proposed, depicting different images of men, such as the man of the night, the cowboy, the crook, and the visionary. Models appeared at the beginning of the show wearing formal outfits with one-piece or camisole-like pieces. This free style of dressing, mixing masculine and feminine, was created in reference to the visuals of BAFFALO, a British creative group from the 1980s. Another source of inspiration was the "Zazou" men's fashion popular in Paris during World War II, which is reflected in the brand's signature suit style. As the show progressed into the second half, the clothes with a street and sporty feel were developed in a rhythmical manner. The use of lettering, which is unusual for this brand, is also impressive. For the finale, the models appeared en masse, and a stick-shaped balloon set up behind the audience seats was inflated, bringing the show to a close after two and a half years.
