The shock I received 20 years ago was the origin of my own Stan Smith.
- . Do you have any personal memories or episodes related to "Stan Smith" that you would like to share with us?

Takeda: When I was a student, I saw a street snapshot of an Englishman in London wearing a crisp tailored jacket, a printed T-shirt, worn-out denim pants, and Stan Smiths on his feet in a magazine. This style is not so unusual today, but at the time I was shocked at how cool it looked. Although it was more than 20 years ago, the image of "Stan Smiths" is strong in my mind, and it has become the starting point of my styling.
If you had another opportunity to make a special-order product with adidas Originals, which model would you choose?
Takeda: Stan Smiths. . Because of my work, I wear leather shoes exclusively on my feet, but "Stan Smiths" are something I want to wear on a regular basis. Because they are one of the few sneakers that I have a personal attachment to and that fit in with my store's taste, I thought I would propose the "Stan Smith" from a different angle.
The Tomorrowland staff recommends how to wear the special-order model.
Stan Smith" is a model that represents court shoes, so I picked up a Tilden vest, an item that originated in tennis, for the inner lining. . I added a plaid jacket and center-crease denim bottoms for a classy "Tomorrowland" look. Incidentally, the underlying theme is "The Royal Tenenbaums," directed by Wes Anderson. I used the former tennis player's outfit in the film as a reference.
I wanted to take advantage of the noble mood of the special-order model, so the styling was minimalist with a drapey top and pants, without using a lot of color. The outerwear picked up the color of the shoes, creating a sense of unity. The clean appearance of the Stan Smiths peeking out from the hem of the pants gives me a sense of why these shoes continue to be supported.
