Perhaps there is a reason why people flock to Lake Nojiri.
Lake Nojiri is located in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, known as the Hokushin area. It is 654 m above sea level, and was the site of human settlements from the Paleolithic Age to the early Jomon Period. Jomon settlements scattered all over Japan are generally found at higher elevations, apparently because the Jomon period was warmer than today. In recent years, the number of people moving to cooler climates and higher elevations, such as Nagano, Japan, is increasing, probably due in part to global warming. . Perhaps it is time for a turn to learn again from the wisdom of the Jomon.

. We were looking for a place with a great view. . I wanted to do it in the best location possible, which was probably the most important thing for me. . This area is rich in nature from the point of view of people in Nagano , but it's in the countryside with deep snow. But for some reason, people are attracted to this place, and interesting people from all over Japan and even from overseas are starting to gather here. . makers, cooks, skiers, etc. . I feel that the dots of interesting people are gradually growing."
