. Strolling through the city, you may get hungry after all. From Daikanyama Station, head straight down Hachiman-dori toward Namiki-bashi Bridge , and you will find Débris. This is a hideaway on the basement floor, but in fact, you can enjoy a different kind of nature here as well.
The most popular item on the menu is the authentic Chinese congee, which is made with dashi (soup stock) made from kelp, shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, clams, chicken guts, and other bounties of nature. The "Herbal Congee" is a gentle congee that contains wolfberries, lotus seeds, and ginger, and is said to be effective for various purposes, such as anti-oxidation, skin beautification, fatigue relief, detoxification, and immune system improvement. It is natural, yet well seasoned, and even my girlfriend, who is usually very careful about her diet, was pleased with the taste. If you can enjoy a healthy meal, you can kill two birds with one stone, and before you know it, your bowl is empty.
To accompany such dishes, homemade spicy ginger ale is the perfect accompaniment. The aroma of ginger and spices, combined with the carbonation, enhances the flavor of the porridge. Incidentally, this restaurant also offers a wide variety of medicinal drinks using herbs and spices, all of which are natural and interesting. Not only to see and touch, but also to feel nature through food is another way of enjoying yourself.
