Ms. Dan, who works as a model, enjoys skateboarding and surfing. She often skates at Komazawa Park and other places. This spot in Meiji Jingu Gaien was told to her by a fellow skater when the park was closed due to the Corona disaster, and she has been going there for over two years now. As the sun tilts and the evening sun sets, the number of skaters gradually increases. As each skater spends their time on their own, Dan enjoys skating as usual, and we captured a moment from his normal daily life.

How did you feel when you were skating?
It is very easy to move around. Since most of the pants I usually wear are made of denim or other hard materials, I was able to skate more smoothly than usual. They are also breathable and lightweight, so I think they are suitable for skating.
What did you like about the design?
I like the tucks. I like pants with a clean design, and I felt that just by having these (tucks) in the pants, the overall silhouette is well put together in an elegant way. Even with a T-shirt as a top, I think the pants give a not-too-rough look.
A plain white T-shirt is tucked in, and sneakers with no visible logo are selected. In front of the Seitoku Picture Gallery in Meiji Jingu Gaien is one of the best skate spots in central Tokyo.
How long have you been skating?
I've been doing it since I was a freshman in high school, so I've been doing it for about 10 years. Fashion-wise, I am often inspired by skaters. I like skaters such as Dylan Reeder and Karen Caples, who skate in a formal style with just the right size clothes, and I like that kind of outfit. In that sense, I think "Tomcat" is perfect for them.
When would you like to wear them in the future?
Because of its elasticity, I would still like to utilize it mainly when moving around, but since it is designed like slacks, it would be suitable for everyday use as well. And since they are thin, I think they are perfect for the coming season. I would love to wear these pants in the spring and summer when I skate or walk around town!
The sight of people bringing in their own boxes, having a light meal, and skating freely with each other is priceless. Tomcat" is the perfect partner for spending mellow time with your own sense of values.
