. - The simple T-shirt and denim style was very natural and looked as if you have been wearing it for a long time. Do you usually wear T-shirts often?
Yes . . I like to dress comfortably, so most days in the summer I wear a T-shirt or a polo shirt. I usually choose a simple T-shirt, but like today, all I wear is a T-shirt with one point on the chest and a graphic on the back print. So, today was really just the same as usual (laughs). The yellow graphic looks easy to use without being too flashy, which is nice.
-So you like your fronts to be as simple as possible?
Yes, I do. Most new T-shirts are simple, but when I wear vintage band T-shirts, I often wear those with designs on the front. I don't know much about bands, but if I think the design is cute, I buy it.
I think one of the charms of the "Insonia Projects" T-shirts worn this time is that they have the look and feel of old clothes worn over many years.
I often mix and match old and new clothes, so I like items that have a slightly old-fashioned feel to them, even if they are new. The denim I am wearing today looks like old clothes, but it is a new item with a damaged print. I thought it was great that the print on this T-shirt was also reproduced so realistically, as if the print had peeled off a bit.
-What did you keep in mind when styling today?
I think band T-shirts and denim are quite casual, but I personally like to add a bit of sophistication, such as loafers, as I did today, so I tried to balance it out with that look today.
-Do you usually choose T-shirts that are a little loose in size?
Yes . Loose-fitting T-shirts are sometimes worn tucked in, and I often choose pants that match the silhouette of the T-shirt. If I am going to tuck in a T-shirt, I choose high-waisted pants, or if the T-shirt is short, I choose flared pants. I try to choose pants that will look good with the T-shirt, without worrying about the style of the decade.
If you could wear this T-shirt in any other way than the way it is worn today, how would you style it?
I didn't wear any outerwear today, but I thought it would be cute to wear this T-shirt and cap with a slightly oversized tailored jacket on a slightly chilly day. I wear T-shirts in all seasons except midwinter, so a T-shirt with this kind of atmosphere is a must-have item.
