What comes from communal living.

You moved to Tokyo from Fukuoka to make music and started living together with the other members.
Saito:Yes, it is. It has been about a full year now.
How do you like living there?
Tanaka:I had the experience of living alone when I was living in Fukuoka, but living together with others, I was stimulated by things that happened that I had never thought about.

What happens, for example?
Tanaka:When I headed to the living room to think about what to make for dinner, someone else was cooking and said, "I made it, do you want some? I made it, do you want to eat it? Such unexpected things happen.
Araya:There was a huge traffic jam at the sinks earlier, too.
Tanaka:Yes, yes (laughs). That kind of thing happens because we are living together.
Nomoto:I try to maintain my personal space so that I do not overflow my capacity in my life. In communal living, there are times when one's capacity is exceeded.
Araya:I see. ...No, what's a caper?
Nomoto:Whether it is good or bad, there is a limit. When you talk with people, you say, "This is as far as I can go. That's the capacity. It's like a boundary line. You are taking care not to exceed it.
Saito:That's a statement from someone who is completely unfit for communal living.
All:LOL.
Saito:The good thing about living together is that I can play my instrument without worrying about the time compared to my parents' house. I can play my instrument without worrying about the time compared to living at home, and I can play it through speakers. I think this is something I can do because of my current lifestyle.

I understand that you also create music in this house. How do you change your mood?
Araya:Hmmm...maybe going to a public bath or something...what do you think?
Nomoto:Yes, like saunas.
Tanaka:It was winter just a few weeks ago. It's relaxing to take a hot shower or soak in a hot tub to warm up.
Saito:It's spring now, so it's refreshing to take a walk. The river is close by, so I walk around the neighborhood in between productions.
Nomoto:It's nice, isn't it? There is a row of cherry trees along the river, and when they are falling, the petals floating on the surface of the water are very beautiful.
I see that you are relaxed. I heard that your recent solo concert at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall was also a great success.
All:I had the best time!
The rain stopped just before the show started.
Araya:Yes, I knew it was a sunny band (laughs).
Nomoto:I wanted it to be sunny, so I also made a teru teru bozu. The pen got a little smudged and made my face look horrifying.
All:LOL.

What is yonawo's current situation?
Araya:Looking back on our releases, there have been many collaborations with other artists, but I think the next one will be a song that incorporates the groove of the four of us. We played this new song during the double encore at the NONOON concert. The song is called "Stay.
Can you tell us a little bit about what kind of song it is?
Araya:There are parts that can be sung along to, and I think this song has a Beatlesque feel to it, or at least it is close to my origins. I would like to continue to cherish these roots, and personally, I would like to make many more songs with a band groove in the future. How about you guys?
Tanaka:That's right. I think my current mood is to make songs that look good when the four of us stand on stage and play them together. I would like to make songs that are exciting to play live.
Nomoto:As for myself, I would like to continue to challenge new things. It is a new thing for us to make a complete song by the four of us and perform it in a live concert.
Saito:In the past, when we had to perform live with just the four members, it was difficult to reproduce the songs completely, so we asked other artists to help us out. That's why we had such a system (a special live performance with support members) for the NONONOON concert. Based on that, I have been thinking recently that I would like to create songs with arrangements that can be performed with only four members in the future.
