In the meantime, you can definitely go to "Beams".
Since Miyuki Arihara is your guest this time, please tell us about your connection to each other.
Yoshikawa:I have always known of them, or rather, I have seen them in magazines and various other media.
Zaihara:I'm glad . Thank you very much!
Yoshikawa:It was a senior who told me about it. When he asked me, "Do you know? I answered, "No, I don't know," and was scolded for being "late" (laughs). You often wear men's clothes, and they look really good on you.
Zaihara:Well, thank you , I appreciate it.
Yoshikawa:I had the pleasure of meeting you at a recent event at BEAMS, and finally got to meet you.

Do you often go to "BEAMS"?
Zaihara:Rather than going shopping, I often hang out with the men's buyer team. People who don't know me very well ask me, "Are you a buyer for BEAMS, Mr. Izuhara? (laugh).
I see (laughs). From your point of view, what is your impression of "BEAMS"?
Zaihara:When in doubt, just go to BEAMS. When people from overseas come to Japan and want to buy something hot, they can go to "BEAMS" for sure. There is no one in Japan who does not know about BEAMS. My hometown is in Chiba, and the Kisarazu outlet is close by, but BEAMS is always crowded.
Yoshikawa:Perfect answer , thank you!
Zaihara:. I can find what I want at any rate if I go there. That sense of security is unbelievable.
I think it is rare to find a store that is not only a gateway to fashion, but also a store that has the support of fashion professionals.
Yoshikawa:We are the broadest label in men's casual wear. As you mentioned, we have a wide range of products, from beginners to the core.

What do you think of Mr. Yoshikawa's fashion?
Yoshikawa:. you really know how to wear menswear. You really dress like a role model, and it's very natural. That's what really stuck out to me.
Zaihara:I have always worn men's clothes since I was a little girl, because I really don't like tight-fitting clothes. The clothes in my closet at home are really more than 90% men's. .
Yoshikawa:I see . So it's natural. I thought it was a very experienced way of dressing.
You were influenced by your father, too, weren't you?
Zaihara:My father was a clothes lover and had a lot of nice clothes . I used to borrow them and wear them. That's when I realized that I could wear men's clothes as well.
Yoshikawa:You also have a lot of T-shirts.
Zaihara:I have a lot of them. These days I wear new clothes more often than used ones, but I still like them, so I buy them as soon as I find them.
Yoshikawa:By the way, what is your father's size?
Zaihara:I was an athlete , so I'm crazy big. I'm basically a men's L or XL.
Looking at your styling, I see that your sizing is very good. What kind of sizing do you keep in mind when choosing clothes?
Zaihara:I don't think that bigger is always better. . I try it on once and choose one that fits me perfectly in terms of arm length and length.
It is not easy to find such items in second-hand clothing, is it?
Zaihara:. It's tough because sizes vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and even from age to age. But recently, men's clothes sold in the market are increasingly available in sizes that can be worn by women as well.

Yoshikawa:When we do styling shoots, we use female models and have them wear men's clothes. We are not promoting genderless or unisex clothing, but we want to express the fact that women can wear our clothing and still look cool in it.
Zaihara:. I was able to wear it this time, and it was a very good size.
Yoshikawa:. We do not make the size of our clothes to fit women, but we do try to find the right balance. We don't make everything too big just because oversizing is in fashion. Instead, we adjust the body width so that it is wide but the sleeve length fits properly at the wrist, and the armholes are just the right thickness depending on the item. These adjustments may lead to a size that is easy for women to wear.
