Fashion in the 2000s is once again on the rise. This season's BEAMS collection is also based on the theme of "Y2K" and focuses on the culture of the 2000s, which emerged after the 1990s. What kind of behind-the-scenes stories can be found in the clothes that have been created in this way? Together with Motoki Yoshikawa, director of the men's casual department, we explore the strategies for this season's original items.
This time, our guest is Miyuki ARIHARA, a model who is an expert in men's casual wear. She talks about her love of vintage clothing, and we asked her to tell us all about the original items of "BEAMS".

Do you have any changes in your impression of "BEAMS" after learning about its craftsmanship?

Zaihara:I have not had much opportunity to experience original items, but I was reminded once again that everyone at BEAMS loves clothes. I was also impressed by how well they have grasped the needs of the world. I think it is wonderful that they have respect for the history of fashion, but are also looking forward and making clothes that people want now.

What do you expect from BEAMS in the future?

Zaihara:I mentioned at the beginning that I felt a sense of security at the restaurant, and I hope that the restaurant will continue to be like that in the future. I hope that you will continue to maintain your current style. I look forward to working with you (laughs)!

I was glad that Mr. Arihara looked at our clothes very carefully and made sure he got the point across. He spoke with a very comfortable tension, and I was able to talk comfortably along with him.
