. Once again, please tell us how NEAT PARIS came to be realized.
Westfield:I think it was about three years ago that I did "NEAT ITALY" with "CARUSO. We also talked about "NEAT FRANCE" in the vein of "USA" and "ITALY," but we decided that "PARIS" was the way to go. But I thought PARIS would be good.
Kaneko:What triggered me to start working on this project was when I saw a pair of two-pleated pants at a Japanese exhibition of "Bernard Zins (ZINS)" (*hereafter referred to as "Zins"). . I wanted to work with NEAT to create two pleated pants that would surpass those pants. This led to the creation of "NEAT PARIS.
I think you look at a variety of brands on a daily basis, but are you always conscious of connecting the dots within yourself?
Kaneko:No, it is a sense of automatic connection. It is not easy to look at a pair of pants with two pleats and think, "Let's make pants that surpass these pants. I often have conversations in various places that become dots, which are later collected and realized as lines. The dots that are created through talking, writing, transmission, and communication are connected and take shape.
