NEAT PARIS. about the rich story of clothes. Keiji Kaneko and Daishi Nishino.

NEAT" and "L'ECHOPPE". The collaboration between the two started in 2018 with a series of special-order products produced overseas. NEAT", which was born overseas and has been a great success, has continued to USA and ITALY, and has now arrived in PARIS. The company is handled by "Bernard Xanth," a prestigious factory that has been involved in the production of famous maisons. In this interview, we asked Keiji Kaneko, the buyer of "Reshop," and Daishi Nishino, the designer of "NEET," about the unspec aspect of fashion. Function, rationality, and quality are not enough; what is important is story, passion, and romance. We present to you a dialogue between these two men that will draw new supporting lines in the profound game of fashion, for those of you who know the joy of clothing.

They are neat and authentic as pants. I think you can definitely use them.

How would you actually like to wear "NEAT PARIS"? What kind of people would you recommend it to? Please tell us.

Westfield:I wanted to wear leather shoes. In fact, I wore loafers to Paris. If I had been wearing regular "NEAT" shoes, I would have worn them with something more casual like Luna sandals, but I felt like wearing them more elegantly than regular "NEAT" shoes, probably because of the situation of meeting Mr. Frank.

Kaneko:This may be because I am both a "NEET" and a "Xanth". I think it is good to wear my clothes in the context of "Xanth. It was a women's store called "HEMISPHERES" that led me to encounter "Xanth". There was a woman there who was like a mentor to me, and she wore "Xanth" with western boots.

Westfield:Is it a Japanese restaurant?

Kaneko:This store used to be in the Tamagawa Takashimaya Department Store. When I was about 23 years old, I met a woman there named Mariko Kido, and I have been following her style in a corner of my mind ever since. There, Xanth's two-piece pleats were the standard item, and there were cool women wearing Merrell trekking boots and Glenmac outerwear. I learned about "Xanth" at that store, so I had the feeling that "Xanth" meant "two pleats.

Westfield:That combination is very cool.

Kaneko:The "emithère" style was like a running mix of European and American styles, so I wanted to match chambray shirts, Western boots, and Parisian pants with something that had an American flavor. I would like to wear "Xanth's" Vannot in an emissez faire style. I want to enjoy that kind of feeling.

Westfield:I think that some women can wear the smallest size, 36, so it would be nice if women could actually wear it. I think the size is just slightly smaller than the 42 size of [NEAT].

Japan, America, and Paris. Because several elements overlap, it seems that the range of dressing will expand depending on what is extracted.

Kaneko:It's chaotic (laughs). But as pants, they are neat and authentic. I think you can definitely use them.

Westfield:But I like the name Vanot. I'm starting to like it.

Kaneko:You've probably forgotten that I said "super-neat" by now (laughs). I hope you'll sell your work at Xanth someday. I hope you'll be at an exhibition when you find yourself there.

Westfield:I hope that in the distant future, someone will find it in a thrift store and reprint it. That would be romantic, wouldn't it?
