Running through beautiful trails!
It was a midsummer day with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius . The severe heat was hard on the runners.



. Yuri is running briskly through the trails. She has completed a series of long races this year, including 100-mile and 100-kilometer races, and said before the race that she was "very tired," but during the race, she seemed to be in high spirits.


After the first section, Yamamoto walks slowly toward the aid station. The heat, combined with lack of sleep and a hangover, is pretty hard on me," he said. The heat is a natural phenomenon, but the lack of sleep and the hangover are nothing but my own fault.



After a quick refueling, Yuri leaves the aid station. . Although she was smiling constantly, she still seemed to be struggling with the heat.
The first among the members to jump into the finish gate was Makino in the 14-kilometer division!


His time was 1 hour, 37 minutes, 25 seconds! This was an outstanding run, placing 24th overall for the men and 9th in the age group.
Enomoto, also in the 14-kilometer division, also went to the finish gate!


Enomoto is suffering from the heat , and has a pained expression on his face. His time was 2 hours, 8 minutes, and 16 seconds!
Twelve hours have passed since the start of the race, and it is now completely dark. But the race does not end after dark. The runners continue along the mountain paths, relying on the light from their headlamps.
At about 7:50 p.m., Yuri's figure appeared from beyond the darkness!



Yuri was moved to tears as she passed through the finish gate, having completed the tremendous distance of 65 kilometers. Her time was 12 hours, 50 minutes, and 17 seconds!
Finally, Yamamoto also went to the finish gate!


Yamamoto looks like he has done it all. His time was 15 hours, 5 minutes, and 27 seconds!
. At the end of the day, all members of the team took a commemorative photo in front of the gate wearing the finisher's cap.

Despite the heat that was hard on their bodies , all four completed the race without incident. Thus, the members of HOUYHNHNM RUNNING CLUB ♡ completed their 14 km & 65 km trail trip.
