Process is Sustainability.

Hori family:Can I talk a little? (Satoshi and myself are like a typhoon, fashion ghosts or something. . It was most interesting to see what kind of chemical reaction would occur by involving "Quon" in the project. . Mr. Ishibashi was instantly drunk at the exhibition (laughs).
I was also really looking forward to seeing what kind of shape the collaboration between two brands that are competing on the world stage would take. After Satoshi contacted me and connected us, there was a period of time when things didn't go well because of Corona, and I was worried that we might end up meeting at an exhibition and having a few drinks, but I am glad that things turned out this way in the end. I was really looking forward to seeing what would be created if this person and that person worked together.
Satoshi:Sustainability is difficult, but it's crazy important. But I think people are tired of hearing the words "sustainability" and "SDGs" in some places. Also, most of the places that say they are greenwashing just claim to be doing so, but they are not doing it properly. As a result, the trend these days is that people are not interested in sustainability, even if it is called sustainability.
SDGs and words like that just need to follow. I am often asked, "What is sustainability?" I think the most important point is gratitude. Appreciation of things, appreciation of the people who make them. If you have such a sense of gratitude, you naturally become interested in the background of the product, who made it, and where the materials came from. If you say, "We are sustainable, and so are you, so let's do something sustainable together," I don't think you will be able to create something cool.

Satoshi:So what is not sustainable? . If you ask what is not sustainable, it is fast fashion. The reason why it was so difficult to make a product this time is that what we did this time was slow fashion. Even if you put various limits on the cost, release date, price, and so on, and try to think creatively within a tight box, you will not be able to produce anything good. I thought, "Let's break down all those tight walls and just have a drink together 3 or 4 times and get to know each other. Then, naturally...
Hori family:Yes, but it was a long time there (laughs).
Satoshi:It was a long time, but then you got it fast, didn't you?
Hori family:That's true.
Satoshi:What? It's already done? I was like, "Oh my God, it's already done? From a sustainability standpoint, I think this was very natural. Just like plants. You plant a seed in the ground and see that it doesn't sprout, but when it suddenly appears, it grows very quickly. So this time, I think it was a very organic process, and I think we have created something so cool that I would be satisfied even if I had to wait two or three times longer. Coolness is what is missing most in the world of sustainability today. Sustainability or not, it's something that I just want.
