After much deliberation, I decided on one of my favorite pieces!
Each of Daiwa's winter suits has its own unique personality, and all of them are very attractive. The HOUYHNHNM FISHING CLUB members carefully examine the suits not only for fishing, but also for everyday life and other outdoor activities. After repeated trial and error, each member carefully selects his or her own suit.
RAINMAX®︎ HYPER HILOFTWINTER SUITS
Ishii: After much deliberation, I chose this one with the highest heat retention capacity. For the coloring, we chose black, which we usually wear often. The solid, urban look is perfect for town use. It will be useful not only for fishing, but also for location shooting in winter, or just for everyday wear. I think Daiwa's fishing wear is a new option for functional outerwear in the middle of winter!
This is a highly thermal-resistant garment with plenty of padding. The pants are made of Rainmax®️ Hyper, an updated version of Daiwa's original waterproof breathable material, Rainmax®️, which provides high water pressure resistance. The pants come with suspenders, so there is no need to worry about them slipping down.
GORE-TEX®︎ PRODUCTWINTER SUITS
Hayashida: The price is quite reasonable for the set-up, even though it is made of the reliable GORE-TEX ®️. Since I often incorporate military elements in my daily coordination, I chose a coloring that goes well with it. The padding is warm enough to make me sweat when trying it on. I didn't have pants with padding, so that's a big help!
This is a standard winter suit that uses the high waterproof breathability of the GORE-TEX ®️ product to keep the inside of the garment comfortable, while the padding ensures warmth. The left chest is switched in black, and the GORE-TEX ®️ logo is designed on the sleeve. The soft glaze blends in with the great outdoors and is easy to use as street wear.
RAINMAX®︎ WINTER SUITS
Komatsu: Simple design is the deciding factor. I like the one-pointed "Daiwa" logo, which is subtle but makes a strong statement. I was worried about the many color variations available, but decided to go with a dark olive color, which I usually wear often. The size is just right, and it seems to be easy to move around in, even when layered with an inner layer. I think I will be wearing it a lot this winter.
This best-selling model uses Daiwa's original waterproof and breathable material, Rainmax ®️. The fabric is stretchable for ease of movement and can be worn in any situation. It is available in six colors. The minimalist design makes it easy to coordinate.
RAINMAX®︎ SIDE OPENWINTER SUITS
Ikemoto: I love the bold transitions that you don't see in other brands. I like wearing bright colors in winter, so I chose a vivid orange that reminds me of mountain rescue. The side full-open zipper design is convenient for easily putting on and taking off the pants. I would like to wear it for camping and other outdoor activities besides fishing.
This is another piece of clothing that uses Daiwa's original waterproof and breathable material, Rainmax ®️. The tops have a high design with a contrasting orange pattern that is eye-catching. The pants are equipped with a zipper on the side that opens wide to the waist, making it easy to put on and take off while wearing shoes.
HOUYHNHNM FISHING CLUB has got the clothes that can protect you from the cold. Now you can enjoy fishing on cold days without worry. And all of them will be useful not only for fishing but also for daily life. This winter, I would like to spend more active time than usual.
