I can't believe how easy it is to catch them!
After setting up, I let the line drop . Then, I got an immediate reaction!
The fish I caught was a chica. They are a member of the wakasagi family and are sometimes sold as chica. It is said to be delicious when eaten as tempura or fried!
Komatsu:I let it land on the bottom and reeled it in a couple of times, and it was caught immediately. It was my first hit in Hokkaido , and I am so happy! I am so happy!
Immediately after that, Ishii's ear tip also moves. To his surprise, he caught three fish!
Ishii:My first time to try sabiki fishing . I was surprised to catch fish without bait when I spread bait. 3 fish were caught at the same time, just like wakasagi. They were small, but they had a bite, and when you catch several at the same time, the pull is strong. It was fun to catch them.
The fishing has changed from trout fishing , and the fish are caught early. Ikemoto also responded.
Ikemoto:I am glad to finally catch a fish. I like lure fishing, but bait fishing is solid and easy to enjoy.
The three of us were in a good mood , as we had been bowling a lot. . but what we want to catch is sunfish. Looking around, they cast and reeled in the fish like a lure . . Apparently, they are migrating a little further away from the shore. I tried to imitate them!
Komatsu:I'm so happy to catch sunfish . I couldn't spread bait , so I put isome on it. It is easy to catch and interesting! I envy people in Hokkaido .
Ishii and Ikemoto also caught saury.

The fishing was not as explosive as the news, but it was satisfying in a short time. The second day ended when we were able to taste the high potential of the Sea of Okhotsk. The saury wiped out the disappointment of the trout. On the third and final day, we will go out to the Sea of Okhotsk by boat!
