The pleasure of eating the fish you catch.
The next day, we gather again in Tokyo to toast to the fish we caught in Hokkaido! This is a rare opportunity to eat fish that are not available in the market because they lose their freshness quickly. This is one of the joys of ocean fishing.

First is the oil frosting of cod and the grilled frosting of Ezo mebaru.

Ishii:Eating cod you caught yourself is the ultimate in luxury. The taste is also very delicious. It was the first time for me to eat raw cod.
Ichikawa:Ezo mebaru is something that is rarely eaten in Tokyo.
The rabbit eels were fried.

Komatsu:It has a fluffy texture and a light, refreshing taste.
Then, many of the hokke were caught and grilled.

Ikemoto:HOKKE is usually dried, but this was the first time I tried it grilled with salt. It was the first time I tried it grilled with salt. The meat was softer than dried fish and the fat was delicious.
We fished and ate, and our satisfaction increased. It was the first time for all of us to fish in Hokkaido, and it was an intense and memorable experience. Fishing is great because you can feel the richness of nature, which is difficult to feel just by sightseeing. If you want to immerse yourself in a hobby, I highly recommend fishing as an opportunity to go somewhere far away!
