Function and design that stand out in any field.
This collaboration was designed to be worn in a variety of fields, even though it is a fishing outfit. To test its usefulness, we asked them to wear it in fishing, camping, and city situations. Did the fishing-derived functionality and modern fashionable style incorporated into the clothing meet the discerning eyes of the three?

PROFILE
. Appeared in numerous fashion media and brand looks. He lives in Izumo, his hometown, and Tokyo. In Izumo, he runs a select store and cafe "BSKK" and a craft beer brewery "3rd Barrel Brewery in Izumo. Fishing is a part of his daily life, which he enjoys casually at the sea, rivers and lakes.
-. You do a lot of different kinds of fishing. What kind of fishing are you doing these days?
. for a while now, I've been into using light tackle and small topwater plugs. . I'm mostly targeting walleye (sea bass up to 40 cm) in the rivers. It's not that I want to catch them by any means, but it's fun for me to move the lure and listen to the fish's reaction while a bunch of adults get together and get into it. . I enjoy the tension of reeling in the reel with a sense of excitement at the point where I think I might catch a fish.

-I like to have fun and not just fish for the sake of fishing.
Instead of doing it all day long, I sometimes go for 3 hours in the early morning, or just 30 minutes during a break from location fishing. I enjoy roughing it with only one pack rod, reel, and lure case, almost empty-handed.
-What kind of clothing do you choose to wear when fishing?
Since I do a lot of fishing like that, I don't fish dressed like an "angler" anymore. I do some wading, but it takes a lot of equipment, such as waders and a floating vest. On the other hand, this fishing vest has many pockets, so I can just wear it. I think the design allows me to fish quickly and go straight to work.

-Fishing vests have a lot of storage space, so we want you to use them for more than just fishing.
It's perfect for moving between two locations or traveling. It would be convenient to keep bullet train and airplane tickets in the mesh pocket for quick access.

-Wouldn't a shoulder bag be easier to use for light fishing?
For my fishing these days, my stuff can fit in either one of these bags or a fishing vest. But the bag is convenient to attach a lot of carabiners. I can always keep scissors, fish grips, etc. attached so I don't forget them. . even in everyday life, if you are going to have a bag, it should be this size. I think the bag also has a lot of use outside of fishing.
-The fishing vest was layered with an anorak.
The V-zone of the fishing vest and the three-dimensional look of the anorak's neck go well together. . It is a one-color black coordinate, but I think the material of the mesh pocket accentuates the coordinate. The pants are well-balanced as well, since they are only a set-up.

-Mesh pockets on the pants and hat as well.
I like the sense of unity in the design. The cargo pockets have velocro tape so it's hard to drop things. The hat is interesting because the brim and sunshade are integrated. It will accentuate your everyday look.

Yuta Takahashi at CAMP

PROFILE
The used and select store "Color at Last year marked the 10th anniversary of the "Color at Against," a used and select shop in Yoyogi Uehara. He is interested in a wide variety of outdoor activities such as fishing and camping, as well as vehicles such as bicycles, motorcycles, and cars, and he is always willing to dig deep once he gets into something he is passionate about.
-Have you been camping lately?
Last week, three of my friends and I went there . It was nice and cold and the air was clear. . But last year the store celebrated its 10th anniversary and we had a lot of things to do, so we didn't get to go very often. This year I want to go out a lot.

-What would you say is the highlight of your time at camp?
Enjoying a bonfire is a prerequisite, so I guess cooking is a prerequisite. In this season, I get most excited when pork miso soup is ready. I enjoy cooking with my own tools, and I aim for a higher quality than what I can achieve at home.
-It's still cold at the campground, but how do you protect yourself from the cold?
I like to hit the campfire, eat and drink warm food, but isn't it best to put on the wears? . but I don't like to wear too many layers because it's not cool. . So I sometimes wear a vest like this. . It doesn't keep you warm, but just one piece of clothing makes all the difference.

-Fishing vests are useful for camping.
. Camping involves a lot of detailed gear, so it is convenient to wear a fishing vest. This fishing vest from "PFG" is an easy-to-coordinate length, and in summer, I think it looks stylish just by wearing it with a T-shirt. This is the kind of fishing vest you would want to wear when riding a bicycle as well.
-I have an image of Mr. Takahashi wearing "PFG" a lot.
. I love both [Columbia] and [PFG], and the store carries used clothing. Personally, when I think of "PFG," I think of fishing vests and anoraks. . I like the way they have collaborated to create a design that combines elements of vintage clothing with modern nuances.
-For example, the mesh pockets on the fishing vest and the large pockets on the left and right sides are inspired by the archives of "PFG" from the 1990s. . and other details from various eras.

Some vintage fishing vests have cool details but are short and hard to coordinate, right? . I like the dark olive coloring, which you don't see in vintage clothing. . I also like military wear, so I think it goes well with that. . It's olive , but it's a sophisticated shade that's not earthy.
How about -Anorak?
I like to wear my anoraks large, so the sizing is great; I have an anorak by "PFG" from the late 80s, but it has buttons at the neck, and I can't get it to open just right. But this one has a zipper, so I can fine-tune it. The mesh pocket is convenient and I think it works well as a design feature. The ventilation on the back allows for good airflow, so I think it's comfortable even when moving around during set up and take down.

-Mesh pockets are now also available on the hat.
Hats with mesh pockets are sometimes seen in vintage clothing. Maybe they have them for hikers to put a map or something in. It's simply a nice design. Also, I really like the fact that the sunshade can be rolled up, so it can be used for different coordinates and situations.

-The shoulder bag has a strap with a daisy chain motif.
Even if you don't wear it , you can use it as storage when camping. It would be useful to keep cutlery and other small items together.

SOUSHI at STREET

PROFILE
He is active as a DJ and beatmaker with a focus on hip-hop and other black music. Last November, he released a cassette tape "Borderline Wavvy" with American rapper LocalBlac, and has been active both in Japan and abroad.
-What kind of moves have you made recently?
I DJ every week in Tokyo, and sometimes I travel with (rapper) KOJOE and GAPPER to local cities, and have them invite me as a guest. Last year, I released an album on cassette tape with LocalBlac, so I was busy with the production of that and other things. . So today I skateboarded for the first time in a while (laughs).

-I produced with LocalBlac, back-up DJ for YL & Starker's Japan tour, and last year I was often with American rappers.
. I had been listening to YL & Starker since I was in high school, so I was deeply moved. I was happy that Blu, who I had also been listening to since high school, participated in the album with LocalBlac. I like to release music quickly. Songs have their own freshness and mood.
-What kind of music are you listening to these days?
I listen to a variety of genres, but what I listen to most often is music that I liked when I was a teenager. Fashion has come full circle, and the designs and items that influenced me in my teenage years are what I feel like now.
-You wore "PFG" today, how do you feel about it?
I usually wear anoraks , and I like them. This one has a nice deep hood. I don't really like outerwear with shallow hoods . . The belly pocket is also easy to use with a divider.

-The ventilation on the back allows for good ventilation.
It looks good to wear when skateboarding in early spring when it's a little chilly.
-The lining is mesh, so I thought it would be hard to stick to even when sweating.
What is the material?
-The fabric is a woven polyester/cotton fabric with a natural texture and excellent durability. It is also equipped with Columbia's original Omni-Shield feature, which repels rain and dirt and dries quickly.
I like the texture of the fabric. Most outdoor wear is made of shiny nylon, but it looks like cotton, so it is easy to coordinate. It's nice that it dries quickly and is water repellent, and the fact that it is stain resistant is quite helpful for city use.

-How comfortable are the pants?
. It's tapered and sleek. I think it has a lot of storage capacity, such as thigh pockets and a D-catcher. It's a set-up, but it doesn't look like you're wearing a set-up. It's easy to coordinate and easy to wear.

-Do you usually carry a bag?
. I always go empty handed because I only carry what fits in my pockets. But when I skateboard, I want my pockets to be empty, so I carry a bag. This is about the right size. I can use it when I go away for a day trip, or when I go to a festival. I don't have a bag of this size unexpectedly, so there are many occasions when I want to use it. I think it is a size that girls can easily use as well.
