Born in 1985 in Hyogo , Japan. After training in New York, he opened "PIZZA SLICE" in Daikanyama in 2013.

When I heard that you like "Camper," I was surprised.
Sarumaru:Before I started wearing "Camper," all I wore were sneakers.
When did you first learn about Camper?
Sarumaru:I had known about them for a while, but about 5 or 6 years ago, I was looking for something lightweight like a sneaker, but like a leather shoe. I happened to walk into a Camper store in front of a pizza store in New York City that I often visit, and when I tried them on, they were so good that I decided to buy them.
. What model did you buy at that time?
Sarumaru:. it was the GORE-TEX model, wasn't it? Everything else was cute, too, and I started buying the bomb (laughs). I buy a lot of things in Soho.
You don't buy them in Japan?
Sarumaru:Actually, my foot size is 30 cm, and there are almost none in Japan . That's why I buy them in the U.S.
What made you turn your attention to leather shoes after originally wearing sneakers?
Sarumaru:Everyone around me, including myself, was wearing sneakers all the time, and that's when I decided I wanted leather shoes. But I couldn't take the plunge because I thought they would be uncomfortable, but when I tried on a pair of "Camper" shoes, I found they were just what I was looking for.
It's true that sneakers are all the rage nowadays, isn't it?
Sarumaru:At that time, I was so used to wearing sneakers that I didn't wear anything else. . I didn't think of wearing heavy shoes, and I didn't need to wear them.
How many Campervilles do you own now?
Sarumaru:I have a lot of them. I've worn out about three pairs of the "Brutus" model.
What attracted you to the model you are wearing today?
Sarumaru:The toe part is removable and can be replaced. I wear all black, but recently I've been wanting to add some color, so I thought this would be good for that. I thought it would be good for such a case.
I heard that you have changed your clothes since you decided to go with "Camper".
Sarumaru:Yes, that's right. When I was wearing sneakers, I only wore casual clothes and went to only casual stores, but now that I am wearing "Camper" I can wear beautiful clothes as well, and my range of clothes has increased.
Do you wear them when you go abroad often?
Sarumaru:That's just so much better. When I go to New York, I walk around more than usual and sometimes go to formal occasions. . but I don't want to increase my luggage.
