What kind of fields do you cover on a daily basis?
Senken Shimbun deals with the business field of the textile and fashion industry . Although I am in a managerial position, there is some information that spills over even with many reporters, so I cover that area as a reporter in the Yu-Gun.
. You live in two locations, Chiba and Tokyo, don't you?
I started surfing when I was in my 40s, and my desire to "do it (surfing) every day" grew stronger, so I moved from Tokyo to Kujukuri about 14 years ago. I can't do it every day when I'm busy with work, but at least every Saturday I'm always in the ocean with my friends. However, on weekdays I often go to Tokyo to do interviews, and I wanted to have a base in Tokyo where I could do my work, so I have been living in two locations for the past 10 years.
Do you often wear a backpack at work?
I usually carry a laptop computer, paper documents, books, and gadgets, so my luggage is quite heavy and bulky. When it comes to a bag that allows me to move lightly at work and has a large capacity, a backpack is the only choice for me. My luggage is almost the same on my days off, so I use one bag for a long period of time.
How about changing your bag to a whittage bag?
When I changed bags for the first time in a long time, my luggage felt much lighter. I've gotten so used to it that I've forgotten how light it is (laughs), but I do remember being surprised when I first put it on my back. I really felt the pressure-dispersing effect of the straps (of MIYAVIE®). . Also, I like the fact that it is finely partitioned both outside and inside, and has many pockets and other storage space. I can organize even the smallest of things, including stationery and books that I usually carry with me.
What is your favorite point?
The cushioning is excellent, so it is safe to put a laptop computer in the gadget compartment. Also, the small pocket at the front of the top is intentionally shallow, so it's perfect for quickly retrieving keys or other items. It is very well calculated.
How would you like to use your Whitage backpack in the future?
I go on surf trips at home and abroad, and the backpack has more capacity than it looks, so in the summer I can go with just this one, with less luggage.
Does it fit with your daily attire?
I am the type of person who uses a bag for a long time without replacing the contents, so lately I have been thinking about matching my outfit to the bag (laughs). However, the Whitage has a mature and clean looking design, so I think it will match a variety of occasions, from an outfit with a leather jacket like today to a summer ti-chi style.
