Morita-san, you are still young, but you have been performing for quite a long time, haven't you?
Morita:Since I was in the first grade of elementary school, so it's been more than 15 years now.
How did you get started in acting?
Morita:I have always been a very showy person, so I entered a training school for child actors with a light heart at first. Also, I am the type of person who doesn't last very long in anything because I get bored easily. But at the training school, I could dance, sing, and change what I learned from time to time, so I somehow managed to keep going.
How do you feel about your work now that you've gone through the years?
Morita:It is the only thing that has continued for a long time, so I would like to do my best in this job. Recently, I have been able to do more things besides acting, such as this fashion work, and I am really enjoying it.

I get the impression that the roles you play are very wide-ranging.
Morita:Actually, I don't have many roles where my personality is completely different from my own. There are many roles in which I can make use of my own personality. On the other hand, I have no experience in creating a role from scratch, so I would like to try my hand at that in the future. In addition, when there is an original story, I need to make the role closer to the image that already exists, so I am also interested in creating such roles.
Morita-san, you are now attracting attention not only for your main job as an actor but also for your fashion.
Morita:My mother always dressed me in cute things, so that's how I got my start. I am sure that my mother's "ism" is still with me today, but I live my life with a mixture of both, with that as my axis (laughs). (Laughs) I wear brand-name clothes, but I also like vintage clothes. I also like to wear brand-name clothes, but I also like vintage clothes. Not only in my clothes, but also in my choice of words, I try not to be like the majority.

I heard that you sometimes refer to the style of movies.
Morita:I am inspired, completely. After watching a movie in London, I feel like wearing a long checked skirt.
What are some of the specific works that have influenced you?
Morita:Singing Street. There is a movie called "Songs for the Future" set in Dublin, and I have been trying to find the knitwear that appears in the movie, but I can't find it. I can't seem to find it on image search.... But I definitely want to get it someday.
