Bob Marley's fashion as we know it because of Ziggy.

-Bob Marley: One Love" has finally been released in Japan. Please tell us your frank feelings about it.
Ziggy: I am very happy. My father has toured Japan and I have visited Japan many times and it is one of my favorite countries. The people of Japan are very accepting of Jamaican culture, including reggae, and Jamaicans love Japan. I believe that our relationship is strongly connected by love.
We had planned to premiere the film in London, Paris, and Jamaica, but we couldn't not do it in Japan, so we decided to come to Japan.

Shirley: Nice to meet you. My name is Shirley, and I am the designer of a fashion brand called "Ramroff" in Japan. The movie was great! I was especially surprised at how well the costumes of the time were reproduced.
Ziggy: Shirley, nice to meet you. And thank you! Bob was cool and stylish, and we wanted to portray that stylishness properly. Anna B. Shepherd, who did the costumes, did her research and came to us for help. I really liked her approach.

Shirley: Is there any difference in the view of fashion between your father's generation and Ziggy's generation?
Ziggy: Our generation didn't care about what we wore at all, but my father's generation was all about fashion, and I think they were very stylish.
Shirley: In the play, I was impressed that Bob wore a leather jacket after defecting to England, where punk rock was on the rise. What kind of places did Bob buy his clothes from back then?

Ziggy: My father loved shopping. He used to go shopping with Neville Garrick, who did the artwork, and members of The Wailers. Not high-brand clothes, but vintage clothes. And he was good at finding things that suited him.
Shirley: I didn't know Bob liked vintage clothing. Were there vintage clothing stores in Jamaica?

Ziggy: No, there were no vintage clothing stores in Jamaica, so he bought vintage clothes in various places while touring around the world. He liked to incorporate military elements and other clothing from various backgrounds into his outfits without overdoing it. Among them, my father especially liked sporty clothes. He would always be ready to play soccer.
Shirley: Indeed, Bob's balanced coordination without overdoing it is very stylish. Bob's famous soccer playing in jerseys was also featured in the play.

Ziggy: Bob was really stylish and cool.
Shirley: At the climax of the film, a ring given to Bob by Haile Selassie appeared, but Bob had not worn any jewelry until then. What do you think was Bob's intention behind this?
Ziggy: Bob was not materialistic, so he was not much interested in jewelry, only occasionally wearing a necklace. However, he wore his ring with a special meaning, as a sign of recognition by his esteemed seracier. It was the only accessory that he always wore.
