Summer is the season for good beer. One of my small pleasures is to slurp down a nice cold one after work. I always have a beer from a major brewery for dinner, but when I heard that Agnès b. Beer had created a new beer, I had to try it. The beer, called "b. BEER," is the first craft beer to be commercialized in the brand's half-century history. It is brewed at the SETOUCHI brewery in Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture, with the cooperation of the up-and-coming phantom brewer Hobo Brewing. The first taste is fruity and refreshing, followed by spicy. The spiciness comes after the fruity and refreshing taste, which is actually the Japanese pepper, and is a very nice accent. I have been wearing a shirt over a tank top every day since about July . It is impossible to listen to all the music in the world in one's lifetime, but we would like to listen to some new release or music we have never heard of every day. However, one of the ways to enjoy music is to listen to something you like over and over again. Such is the case with Le Makeup's "Odotara," an album that has been on my mind for several years now, and I have listened to it many times since its release in February 2023. When I bought "Odotara" on vinyl and listened to it in the comfort of my own home, I got a different impression from listening to it outside through my earphones. The first issue of "Huynem Hangout" was launched as a web-based medium and irregularly published newspaper within the community. The first issue features the Long Trail. Since I have no experience with long distance trails or nature, I was looking for a book that would help me learn about it, and I came across "Long Distance Hiking" by Susumu Hasegawa. Even though I have never been to the mountains, I found the book to be very informative, with detailed and easy-to-understand information on the attractions of the mountains. And not only in the mountains, but also in music, biking, cooking, and any other genre, it made me realize again that you can never match the attitude and words of someone who is passionate and sincere about what they are doing. In "Huynem Hangout," we interviewed Ray Jardine via e-mail, and Mr. Shibayama, who has experience on long distance trails and is a mountain lover, wrote a piece based on the interview.
