I got the feeling that I was standing shoulder to shoulder with the artists I admired.

Purple Now: Once upon a time I was asked, "What are your professional goals?" I couldn't answer the question. It was obvious to me that I wanted to be a professional, but I felt frustrated that I could not answer the question, so I thought about it a lot.
Now that I think about it, I have more than one goal. Of course I want to make music, but I also want to make music videos, I like being interviewed like this, I want to do live performances, and I want my songs to become hits and be heard by many people. In this way, I realized that there are many things I want to do. If I set a goal of touring in a dome, I would have to sell well. In order to do that, I would have to appear on TV and be featured in major media. There is more than one thing I have to work hard for, and more than one dream.
I think you mean that we have to do a lot of things on a continuous basis.
Purple Now: In order to achieve all of these goals, I am working very hard at the moment.
When you have more things to write in your title, including being selected for "Up Next Japan," the pressure increases, and I think there are times when you feel conflicts between what is expected of you and the expression you want to achieve.
Purple Now: I write a variety of songs, some with literary lyrics, others with straightforward messages, and the person I want to reach changes with each song. But as I become more and more famous, people tend to focus on only a part of my songs and give the impression that this is the song I am talking about. But I want people to know that this is not true. To do that, I need to make more songs, sell them, and become more famous so that people will listen to various songs, so I am holding my ground now. It's just a matter of time.
