Red Wing has been making high-quality boots for a long time.
As Peggy wrote in her letter, I am wondering how you are able to stay in business while continuing to educate the public about the importance of such long-lasting use of your products.
Abe: Our mission is to support our customers. That is why we are not profit-oriented.
The mission is what is important.

Abe: Otherwise, we wouldn't be able to offer boots made in the U.S.A. at this price. I think the reason why Red Wing is loved by so many people is because of the balance between quality and price. We are able to do this because we have been making quality boots with a strong will for many years, and no other brand can imitate us. If we valued profit, we would increase the number of product numbers even if we had to raise costs. However, the reason we don't do that is because we carefully protect our craftsmen's skills and have a relationship with our suppliers who supply us with parts and other items. That is why Red Wing is not a fashion brand.
I hope this campaign will convey the attitude of protecting such important things.
Abe: I would be happy if that were to happen. The most important thing is to support the feet of as many people as possible who are struggling on a daily basis. If we can do that, Red Wing's mission will be fulfilled. The priority of fashion comes later. That is "OUT OF FASHION".
