Made in Germany" is valuable. It has a special meaning for sneaker lovers.
- As I mentioned earlier about the originals, I asked Mr. Tokunaga and Ms. Yamada to bring the original vintage of "Handball Spezial" today.

Handball Vintage of "Spezial". Details differ slightly depending on the period and country of manufacture. The left one was made in Poland in 1995 (brought by Ms. Tokunaga), the center one was made in former Czechoslovakia in the early 1990s (brought by Ms. Yamada), and the right one was made in former West Germany around 1980 (brought by Ms. Tokunaga).
Tokunaga: Take a look at this. This vintage "Handball Spezial" was "Made in West Made in West Germany, circa 1980. Adidas shoes made in West Germany at that time had a neat and beautiful silhouette. This is true not only for shoes made in West Germany, but for all Adidas shoes made in Europe at that time.

Yamada: It's beautiful. To the point of being adored. The European-made "adidas" shoes of the time are attractive not only for their silhouette, but also for their coloring. The deep shade of blue is irresistible. Even though decades have passed, their charm has not faded.

UCHI: It is difficult to put into words, but it certainly feels classy.
- The special edition of Handball Spezial is "Made in Germany". What do you think about that?

Yamada: As a sneaker enthusiast, the words "Made in Germany" alone are enough to get me excited. On top of that, the German-made "Handball Spezial" has a high level of perfection. It is comparable to the European-made sneakers of the past.

Tokunaga: Again, it is really well made. To begin with, "Made in Germany" is now a precious commodity. Germany is the origin of "adidas Originals, and even today, the headquarters of adidas is located in Germany. Sneakers made in Germany have a special meaning for people who love the brand.

UCHI: Your words are very convincing as both of you are well versed in vintage sneakers. On a personal note, I recently launched my own brand. All items are "Made in Japan" for all my items. If you insist on Japanese-made products, the price will inevitably be high. That is inevitable. However, there are reasons and backgrounds for this. If we carefully communicate the story behind our products, we are sure that there will be people who understand and sympathize with us. We do what we do with this belief.
Tokunaga: The same can be said for the fact that the "Handball Spezial" is "Made in Germany" is also a good example of this point. It costs a lot to make a product in Germany, and this is reflected in the price. And this is reflected in the price. However, if you understand the reason and the background, you can understand the value of the product. I think so.
