UCHI: Your words are very convincing as both of you are well versed in vintage sneakers. On a personal note, I recently launched my own brand. All items are "Made in Japan" for all my items. If you insist on Japanese-made products, the price will inevitably be high. That is inevitable. However, there are reasons and backgrounds for this.
