Do you have a styling theme?
Nishida: Themes, oh, I don't know what to do. I'm a bit torn because there are so many items that are too themed. ...... damaged pants! I'm going to try to make a coordinate in which these damaged denim pants are the star of the show. I tried to create a coordinate in which the damaged denim would be the star of the show. But the knit top is also colorful and very cute, and the result is a coordinate with a collection of items that are the stars of the show (laughs).
You chose damaged denim first. It was unexpected.
Nishida: I wanted to wear an outfit today that I would never normally choose! This was my first attempt at damaged denim, but it's nice to have such bold damage on the contrary. It's also perfect for when you want to show a bit of leg. I feel like I've found a new me!
Ms. Nishida, who prefers girly clothes, ended up choosing the most intense item among the three.
Nishida: I usually wear only tight clothes, and even when I wear denim, I often put the top in to show the waistline, so it was a pleasant discovery for me to see how even a damaged, loose-fitting outfit can look so cute.
Colorful knits also look good on them.
Nishida: Satoyoshi Utano of BEYOOOOONDS has the Personal Colorist Certification Level 1, so I asked her to diagnose the colors that suit me. First is blue-based winter and second is yellow-based spring. This knit has blues and yellows mixed in, and Utano told me that "any color will look good on you, Shiori," so I could wear this colorful knit with confidence!
You arranged your hair in a braid to match the hat.
Nishida: Knit caps and braids are still a girl's weapon! When I finally looked at the styling balance, I saw a girlish feel in the color of the knit, so I added a girlish touch to the hair style and accessories to match. For the rings, I chose ribbon motifs and tried to keep my own personality.
What did you get today?
Nishida: Damaged denim, after all. I thought it was quite challenging, but now I realize that it can be combined with casual wear like this, so I will try to incorporate it in the future!
