This set-up is made of a supple and resilient jersey material blended with Toray's "Samora" yarn and extra-long staple cotton. It is lightweight and wrinkle-resistant. It is usually difficult to create a jacket with a beautiful silhouette using cut-and-sew fabric, but Curly has achieved this with the technology and experience it has cultivated over many years. The sleeves are swept forward, the lapels are narrow, and the cuffs are cut with a real gutter. The pants also have a slightly tapered silhouette. They are pleated for a comfortable fit.

Interview With Designer
Did you have any references for your design?
Ito.When I was in high school, I was greatly impressed by the styling of a certain person who wore New Balance with a suit in a magazine. That was the starting point of my mixing of traditional and sports styles. Since then, I have been interested in items that combine the opposing tastes of traditional and sports, and I had been wishing I had a suit made of synthetic fiber jersey even before I started my brand. Therefore, I designed this line with the image of replacing tracksuits, which are set-up wear worn by athletes when warming up, with a traditional style.
The waistband is a genuine trousers specification with an applied fabric. Only Curly, which has its own factory, can make this much out of cut-and-sew fabric.
What were some of the challenges in making a set-up out of cut-and-sew fabric?
Ito.Anyway, it was very difficult to solve the allergic reaction of the people who sewed for us. It is common for sewing factories that make woven clothes to sew jackets and pants using cut-and-sew fabrics, but it is rare for cut-and-sew factories to sew jackets and pants with these specifications, so there was resistance on site as well. In addition, in order to improve the quality, we repeated the process of sewing and correcting many times.
The cuffs of the jacket are treated with a one-button main cutout. It can be worn rough with the buttons open.
The gauze line, which is the line connecting the upper and lower collars, is set higher. This creates a stylish impression.
What are some of the things you have done to create a classy atmosphere while using cut-and-sew fabrics?
Ito.In order not to make the garment too casual, we made the cuffs cut into the main cuffs, raised the gauze line, and made the pattern more three-dimensional. Especially for the pattern, we repeated sample production many times and were able to come up with a satisfactory line.
What innovations did you make to create a comfortable fit?
Ito.Basically, if the fabric is not firm, it is impossible to create a three-dimensional silhouette, and if it is too stiff, it will spoil the comfort of the wearer. Therefore, we have developed optimal materials through repeated trial and error. Recently, we have been working directly with Toray to incorporate the world's most advanced technology into our materials. Toray is an excellent manufacturer that supplies materials to NASA and the Japanese national team for their athletic wear. Every time I work with them, I am always pleasantly surprised.
The trousers have a tight silhouette, but the jersey material makes them comfortable to wear. The puffy side seams are also noteworthy.
What are the advantages of a set-up made of cut-and-sew fabric?
Ito.The most appealing feature of cut-and-sew fabric is the relaxed atmosphere that only cut-and-sew fabric can provide. The softness of the seams, which cannot be achieved with woven fabrics, is also a key factor in creating a comfortable fit.
What occasions would you like this set-up to be worn?
Ito.For example, when you have a day off and just need to work for a little while, we would be happy if you could wear this to lift your spirits. After work, you can take your child out to play or go out for a drink with friends in this outfit. When I go abroad, I always take it with me. It's perfect for when I get off the plane and go straight to a business meeting. It's as if I can switch between on and off with just this one outfit.

Although this set-up gives an active impression, we dared to create a chic and mature atmosphere by combining it with white cut-and-sew and socks in a monotone color scheme. Also, leather shoes, rather than sneakers, are worn on the feet in pursuit of a classy look. This creates a neutral style that goes both on and off, which is one of the charms of this set-up. The use of accessories such as eyeglass holders and suspenders also adds a playful adult touch.
