DAY 1
The land-based fishing got off to a good start.

We first came to a certain harbor. The water is deep and the foothold is stable, making it an easy point to fish. We quickly got ready and started casting. Since it was our first time in this area, we were all exploring. Bass might be lurking in the weeds that grow in some places.

Minnows, crankbaits, and other reeling lures will hook them, so try using a Texas rig with a larger worm as a shot, or if the response is not good, try probing the lake bottom with a weighted, high-specific gravity worm.

Ishii, who was preparing leisurely while admiring the scenery, started later than everyone else. When he finally started casting, he said, "Oh, I caught it! The first one, ( lol ), which I wanted him to catch with a little more tension.

Ishii:I caught it with a cat rig. I hooked it in the weeds, and the moment it came off, it snapped. Not a bad size compared to last year's catch. I thought it might be ...... this time!

About 30 minutes into the game, the start was good. I have a good feeling! However, after trying for a while, there is no response, so we move on.

Next came the lakeshore, a short drive away. This is a point where you can once again feel the size of Lake Biwa. There are no underwater piles or points covered with trees, so it seems difficult to aim. It may be important to grasp the shape of the lake bottom and the flow of water.

Casting distance is important for land-based fishing. However, it was a headwind that day. Mr. Saisu took off his shoes and entered the water, trying to make his cast as far as possible. The water temperature was a little cold, but it was almost 30 degrees Celsius, and he felt comfortable.

Mr. Hayashida climbs tetrapods and explores areas that are out of reach from the shore. He continues to cast long distances with high-specific gravity worms.
Hayashida:I think there are some migrating bass, but I struggle because I can't get a clue as to where to target them. But I did get one bite when I was searching the bottom.
Members rotate through various lures. We are not getting a good response, so we move on.
