How did you get into biking?
When the Corona disaster made it difficult for me to take public transportation, I bought this bicycle to extend my range of activities. At the furthest point, I once cycled from my house to Ginza, which took about an hour.
Where do you usually go by bicycle?
I use it as a leg to go to nearby stores I like or to the park for running. It's a good warm-up exercise before a run.
What do you like about bicycles?

I now enjoy going to places that I would not have visited without a bicycle, such as stores a bit far from the station and small towns and shopping streets along the Setagaya line. At the same time, I have more opportunities to take side trips (laughs).
Why this bike?
I was looking for a bike for city riding and decided on "Tokyo Bike" because I liked the logo on the plate on the front. I tried a model with straight bars on the frame, but it was hard to ride. I decided on this model, which is easy to straddle, and chose a beige frame to balance the silver basket. By the way, the reflector with the smiley face logo on the saddle was bought at Blue Rag.
Today's shooting took place in the vicinity of the museum under clear skies.

I love the architecture of museums, and I sometimes rent bicycles to see artworks on my travels. One of the most impressive so far was the Chichu Art Museum on Naoshima, which I visited by bicycle. Designed by Tadao Ando, I passed through a dark corridor and suddenly found a room filled with bright natural light, where I saw a work by Monet. It was such a beautiful encounter with a work of art that I still remember it.
What kind of image do you have of The North Face?
When you hear of an outdoor brand, it is the first thing that comes to mind. In addition to their outstanding functionality for outdoor use, their designs are also easy to incorporate in the city. In fact, I often see them on the streets, and many people around me love them. I also like Cecily Vansen, and I am very impressed that they collaborate with such fashion brands.
What do you wear when you ride your bike in winter?

I wear down most of the time. I usually wear it on a daily basis, and when I go running, I can take it off and go for a run. Sometimes I wear shorts underneath, as I did today. Basically, I avoid so-called "bicycle-like" fashion, and try to avoid the "What? You rode your bike in this? I try to wear something that is not too bicycle-like, so that people will say, "What?
The new "Alteration Sierra Jacket" is made of windproof Gore-Tex windstopper.
It's warm on the street. In winter, it is cold everywhere I go (laughs), so I thought this would be great. I would love to wear this wind-resistant down and cycle around lakes and the ocean. The logo is modest and the down is not divided into blocks, so it's a great design for everyday use. Also, it's hard to pedal when the length is long, so I appreciate short lengths like this down.
The padding is made from recycled down, which is environmentally friendly.

To be honest, I try not to use plastic bottles in my daily life, and I am not strongly conscious of such environmental concerns when I buy things. However, if I like the clothes themselves and they are environmentally friendly as a result, I would be even happier.
