What kind of year was 2024?
It has been about seven years since I sold the company and brand. In 2024, I was asked to return to the field of full-fledged clothing production because the timing of the offer and my own timing were strangely perfect. In the second half of the year (2025SS project), I started designing in earnest with that as a hint. As I worked on the project, I had a sense that the image I had in my head was gradually being adjusted to the Riversal brand. It was a year of luxurious and wonderful experiences, like a stretch, in which the range of motion expanded along with the screams of joy.
What kind of year do you want 2025 to be?
The year 2025 marks the 25th anniversary of REVERSAL. I hope to further improve the precision of our products and present my own unique martial arts apparel "reversal" from a new angle. We have also begun releasing a fishing line called "RIVERSAL Fight Fishing. I would like to spend the new year absorbed in what I love, carefully and calmly, while savoring to the fullest the joys and pains of sublimating martial arts and fishing, my favorite things, into my work.
What is your message to our readers?
We are planning to release various collaborations and items with the cooperation of people, brands, and manufacturers around me. Early in the new year, we will release a limited-edition varsity jacket, T-shirt, and baseball cap as our first collaboration with "Lafayette," now a leading street brand in Japan with a directly managed store in New York. This collaboration is also a must-see PV, and being the first phase.... MUHUHU. Also in January, a collaboration item with "Bandai Namco" will also be released. Please look forward to this one as well. Also, Nikata, a dried bonito flakes business, plans to develop and sell new products as well.
