There is no right answer to fashion, and those who do it, win.

-There are more and more stylish comedians these days. Is there anyone that you two think is stylish?
New Mt: Cotton Nishimura is very particular about what he wears, or rather, he wears what he likes. I have never wanted to copy him (laughs), but I like that he has a stylish stance.
Ishii: This may be a common thing in the comedian world, but I notice that everyone wears the same kind of pants. What kind of phenomenon is that, really?

New Mt: Also, I think that the guy who became the R-1 champion, Principle Oto Tazu, is the most fashionable person around me. But he is really unique. If I were to use an analogy, it would be like Lady Gaga wearing a fresh meat dress in the old days, but I don't know if it was fashionable or not. She also wears shorts over pants. On his hands, he wears rings on both hands.
However, in fashion, there is no right answer, and it is a win-win situation, isn't it? I think that only fashionable people can match and size their outfits. He is the champion of self-styling. But for some reason, he is not popular (laughs).
-I know you are particular about your comic costumes, how do you decide on them?
New Mt: We have decided to wear three-piece outfits for our comic dialogue. However, we sometimes change it depending on the mood of the material, so we have several outfits.
Ishii: Costumes can be used to express one's character or, on the other hand, to show a gap in one's character! I think that costumes can be used to show a gap between the two. Not only in comic costumes, but also in casual clothes, isn't it?

-The cut on the rooftop was especially well coordinated between the two of them, a move that could only have been done by a duo. Finally, how was today's shoot?
New Mt: They dress us in nice clothes and decide on the backgrounds for the shoot. That's a lot of fun. It's exciting. Also, all the staff members definitely give me compliments (laughs). (laughs) So it would be the best if I could go to a comedy scene or a recording studio after working on a shoot like this. It would be a great boost to my self-esteem.
Ishii: I simply had a lot of fun. I don't have that many variations of poses for the shoot, so I just move as I feel.
That's the kind of feeling I sometimes get when I do events where I just move around on stage without speaking. Even during today's shoot, when the cameraman said something like, "Please move freely without worrying about the camera," during the final cut, I really enjoyed the feeling of doing a live performance.

New Mt: As for filming, I feel very embarrassed. If I were to act cool in such situations, I would never be able to pull off comedy. Personally, I think it's not good for a comedian to only look good, so when I am invited to do a fashion shoot, I take it very seriously, thinking, "I definitely have to do my best in comedy as well.
