Ishii: What are your plans for this store in the future?
Horizontal groove: Not only fans of Nepenthes, but also local and international customers come here. We are very happy that we have made contacts in areas other than clothing, and we would like to create a space where people who have never heard of Nepenthes can come and enjoy food and fashion.
Ishii: It's a very good thing. And it's going to create another community.
Horizontal groove: Eventually, I have an idea to hold music events and festivals. There is also space for exhibitions, so it would be fun to invite artists who have a connection with the area.
Ishii: I hope Nepenthes has other brands, such as Rodrillion, so it would be nice to have a wider variety of beers.
Horizontal groove: That is a possibility. We could invite food trucks to set up store in the parking lot outside in the summer, and I would like to plan and realize many other things. It is an exaggeration to say that we are contributing to the local community, but we would like to transmit fun things while committing ourselves to the town.
