Separate Bath & Toilet (hereafter, Sepabath) and Minnano have collaborated this time, and the pop-up will be held at Dover Street Market Ginza, right?
Nakatsu River: We usually work together, and it was through that relationship that we decided to do this project.
Kagami: I was given the opportunity to use my connections to the fullest.
All:(Laughter).
Nakatsu River: During our meeting, Mr. Kagami told us that his dream was to have "Sepabus" placed in Dover, so we decided to ask him about it.
Kagami: But sometimes you just have to ask and it doesn't work, right?
Nakatsu River: I am sure there will be cases. There may be cases where the schedule does not allow for it.
How did you come to collaborate in the first place?
Kagami: I approached Mr. Goro. Last year, I was invited to an event held by a certain brand in Dover, and Mr. Goro happened to be seated next to me. We had a dinner party there.
Nakatsu River: We got a hamburger with a really big bun (laughs).
Kagami: That's right (laughs). I wanted to collaborate with Goro, so I checked with the staff at Sepabus, and they said, "I bought a bike at Minnano! I immediately asked Mr. Goro about it and he said OK. I immediately asked Mr. Goro about it, and he immediately said yes.
Nakatsu River: It was an immediate answer (laughs). I had seen the collaboration with Akio Hasegawa, and the models in the "Sepabus" collection were photographed together, so I felt a sense of familiarity with the brand.

The collaboration items you made this time are your personal clothes, right?
Nakatsu River: I have always thought that Kagami-san is fashionable. However, not many people pay attention to Kagami's fashion. Of course, there are people who are friends with her, but they tend to talk more about her works or her daily activities.
I always thought the sizing of Kagami-san's personal clothes and the faded look of his sweatshirts were very nice, so I suggested that I would like to make them.
Kagami: I was surprised because I didn't think you would come up with that idea.
Nakatsu River: I was surprised to hear you say, "I've never been told that. I think it is the first thing people notice. Kagami is well known to everyone, but not many people know the real Kagami. I know that, so that is the only place where I can compete. Rather than drawing new graphics, I thought that would be more interesting.
Kagami: Interesting idea.
It is true that Kagami-san always wears faded clothes.
Kagami: My room faces south, so it gets a super amount of sun. So what I'm wearing gets sunburned very quickly. I have many pairs of the same jeans, but I picked up the ones with a nice faded color and made the silhouette a little thicker.
Nakatsu River: Sepabus has a solid production background, so I thought it would be interesting to take advantage of that and make something that is old and rundown.
Did you pay a lot of attention to reproducing the tanning and fading?
Nakatsu River: I have redone it quite a bit. If you put all the pieces together, you can be Kagami-san (laughs).
Kagami: It turned out to be really good, didn't it? I hope you find it interesting, including Goro's story. What if people start asking, "Who is Kagami anyway? I don't know what I'll do if they say, "Who is Kagami?
Nakatsu River: No, no, that's not true (laughs).
Kagami: It would be interesting if that happened (laughs).
