Time to face yourself.

We are here at "proto Vessels and Takaramono," a select store for tableware. Everyone loves tableware, don't they?
Araya: I always buy at first sight. This single-flower vase is very nice.
Sato: I also liked this single-flower vase.
Do you both have a habit of putting up flowers?
Araya: Now it is decorated with cherry blossoms.
Sato: I also try to decorate on a regular basis.
Araya: When I use something in my room that I love, like a favorite vase for a single flower or a mug, I feel like it softens even the bad times a little.

Sato: When you spend time at home, no one can see you. It is your own personal time and space, but I think that finding value in it and using your favorite things is the very essence of spiritual richness. I think it is wonderful to be satisfied with something that you are particular about, even if you don't show it to anyone.

Tada: I used to think that if I owned something, my footwork would become heavy. That is why I used to not value my room at all and only looked outside. But after meeting Ara-chan, I felt that the richness of her life was directly connected to her music, and the interior design of Gakuho's restaurant was also beautiful because of her richness of heart. So I started cooking for myself to enrich my life, and I also became interested in tableware. Then I thought, "What a lovely time I am having. I learned from the two of them that one daily necessities can make such a difference in one's mood.

I see that all three of you have found your favorites and purchased them.
Araya: The owner explained the artist to me in detail and I felt the story. I felt love and satisfied with my purchase.

I took a break and came to "Seiton". This is a poetic coffee shop owned by poet Shohei Koyama. Drinks and sweets are accompanied by Mr. Koyama's poems.
Araya: The entrance area is fresh and not like a coffee shop.
Sato: Yes, it is. It's like a space where time and words drift by. It is interesting that it is accompanied by a poem.

-After the coffee is served, I like the time to take my time reading the poems.
Tada: I think that discussing the poem first will change the conversation that follows.
Sato: It is important to face words again. I have not often had the chance to face a poem, not a novel or an essay, but a poem in which the words are condensed. It was a good time for me to think about words.
Araya: It makes me want to tell someone about it and take them with me.

Tada: There's a unique experience here, isn't there? I like being able to share that. I like the poem you put out for us at Gakuho.
Sato: Yes, it's good. Inertia IS GOLDEN" is very good.
What does it say?
Sato: It was written about the beauty and trivial richness hidden in everyday life. In an age where everything is expected to have meaning, not everything is necessarily so, and even ordinary moments can be beautiful and rich.

The staff selects poems according to the customer's mood, what they order, and the time of day. Also, "Sealed Lanterns" offers a service where you can write a letter and receive it a year later.
Tada: If you were Ara, what would you have written?
Araya: I'll be back in a year or ....... I'm thinking of releasing an album, and I'd like to write a letter with the title I'm thinking of now to answer the question. I would also like to write about my current state of mind. What are your thoughts about your activities, and where do you want to go from here? Will they remain the same, or will they have a new sensibility? I would like to leave it in a letter.

Tada-san and Sato-san, do you ever put your thoughts into writing?
Tada: When I make a music video, I write a proposal. I think about what kind of words I should choose to convey the image I have in my mind.
Sato: I run a café/restaurant, but my main job is to create the space. My job is to come up with a brand and concept and bring the place to life. To do this, I keep a notebook of keywords and feelings. When I start a new project, I look back at the words I have accumulated in my notepad.
Araya: That's good. I forget what I'm thinking and feeling pretty quickly.
