Born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. After graduating from Japan Beauty School, she joined OOO YY, where she was appointed director in 2018 and is responsible for salon work and staff training, while also serving as press. She is also active as a hair and makeup artist for advertisements and fashion shows.

It is important to be comfortable with what you are comfortable with.
MAMI is always impressive with its great hairstyles and fashionable outfits. How often do you change your hair?
MAMI: I usually change it once a month. I have had white bleached hair, bobbed hair, permed hair, and even dreadlocks by copying an unknown overseas rapper I happened to see on social networking sites (laughs). (Laughs.) I have tried many different hairstyles, but the longest I have tried is a bob. I have a longing for long hair, but it's difficult because I have a lot of hair and long hair makes it unbalanced.
-What kind of clothes do you usually prefer to wear?
MAMI: Salon work is surprisingly physical, so I like relaxed clothing. Comfortable shoes are also the most important point since I work standing up. Today, I coordinated an "Auralee" jacket with an "M.A.S.U." T-shirt and popcorn pants to give it a unique look while making it easy.
- How do you feel about the comfort of 〈BENEXY〉's shoes?
MAMI: I chose the color taupe in the "120 (Ichiniimaru)" line, which is a light gray color that goes well with any outfit, and I like that the velour leather is not too casual. Another high point is that the insole fits my feet so my feet don't get tired easily. Also, hair tends to get into the sandals while cutting, so the Velcro closure makes them fully open for easy cleaning, which is great from a hairdresser's point of view.
-Are there any other styles that you would like to match?
MAMI: They look great with cargo pants, and I bet they would look cute with socks and a skirt. I would like to match them with a variety of outfits for the summer, since they don't go with any style.
-I know salon work is a physical job, but do you have any secrets to stay motivated?
MAMI: This is my 15th year as a hairdresser, and I feel like customer service is like a tranquilizer (laughs). (Laughs) I love my customers, so talking with them is like a break from work. Many of us have a relationship with each other where we can easily talk about our problems. I feel that I am truly blessed with the environment.
-How do you spend your holidays?
MAMI: I have been playing volleyball with my friends for 5 years, 4 times a month at most. It is not a serious one, but an enjoyable one? (laugh). A friend of mine who has played volleyball for a long time gathered a group of people together, and all the participants are good people. It's a good way to relax and get some exercise. We also have a "Madamis Club" once a month. I also enjoy holding a "Madamis Club" once a month.
Madamis, or officially "Murder Mystery," has a scenario in which some kind of incident occurs, and all participants take on the role of a character in the story and search for the murderer, or play the role of the murderer in order to get away with it. It's the best part. The best part is that I feel as if I am in the world of the mystery novel.
-It's a pretty stoic time schedule (laughs).
MAMI: I have always liked suspense and horror movies, so I am quite addicted to them. Each scenario is a mystery that is solved once you play it, so the best part is that you can only play it once in your lifetime, and I try out new stories one after another.
-It is quite powerful to have both athletic and cultural hobbies at the same time.
MAMI: When I was young, I liked to be alone, but as an adult, I enjoy the company of others and it lifts my spirits, so I think it suits me well. I enjoy myself to the fullest on my days off and use them as motivation to work hard. It has become a good routine for me.
