That is the new V60 Dripper NEO, a conical coffee dripper loved around the world. Launched at the ongoing SCAJ 2025, this dripper's appeal lies in its fast extraction speed.
In order to ensure that hot water drains out smoothly without leaving behind any impurities, we created a unique structure with 72 delicate ribs at the top and 9 ribs at the bottom.
The starting point was "faster and cleaner. It took two years to develop the product after many prototypes were extracted and verified.
The body is made of lightweight, thermally efficient Tritan. The material's characteristics suppress the temperature drop during extraction, while the thin finish of the body makes it difficult to lose heat.
The advantage of a dripper with a fast extraction speed is that you can enjoy a clean taste. When shallow-roasted beans are brewed slowly, the taste is noticeably bitter, but when hot water falls quickly, a clear, transparent taste can be enjoyed. Speed is important when aiming for a clean cup with a bright flavor.
One might think that this would make it unsuitable for deep roast brewers who want a robust flavor, but it can be adjusted by slowly pouring hot water into the cup. It is a new product, so there are some things we don't know about it, but Hario seems to have designed it so that a wide range of users, from professionals to beginners, will love it.
