For this collaboration, the coloring is inspired by the flag of Aminé's hometown of Portland, while also expressing his love for the local library where he spent much of his childhood.

The design was inspired by the local library where I grew up. I spent a lot of time there as a child. It was an important place that shaped who I am as a person, and I wanted to make sure that one day I would express that in a respectful way. Everything about the library, from the cards to the colors, evokes precious childhood memories for me."
This pair of shoes, which expresses strong respect for the local area, will be available at the New Balance online store and at limited stores worldwide from October 9 (Thu.).
