Demna Vasaria, one of the leaders of the fashion scene, will assume the position of artistic director of Gucci in July 2025.
GENERATION GUCCI“ is the second collection since the inauguration. As the name suggests, this collection is an attempt to trace the brand's accumulated ”generation" and revive the archives that have struck a chord with the brand in the modern age. The "Horsebit Loafer," a masterpiece that is recognized by both itself and others, is one such example.
The design work bridging the generation gap showed us the full extent of Demna's groundwork.
The loafer, named "Gucci Lugano," is so flexible that it can be bent with a single finger. The soft leather upper, the construction without a counter, and the slender Italian-made sole are the three elements that make this loafer possible.
