Lustrous buffalo leather. A long toe and a low-slung instep. A square toe with rounded corners. These hand-sewn moccasins highlight the beauty of these proportions. And a flat rubber sole dyed blue. While rooted in classic design, the finished product is undeniably modern.
The rubber sole stood out above all else. I was really impressed by the subtle touch of choosing blue instead of black or crepe-colored. The glimpse of blue cleverly ties the whole look together.
The new model comes in a dark brown shade called “Cacao.” With everything from the shoelaces to the stitching in a single tone, these shoes embody the house’s identity.
The 2026 Pre-Fall Collection is said to capture the atmosphere of the film *The American Friend* (released in 1977). Intelligent and elegant—the collection beautifully evoked the spirit of Europe in days gone by.
Now that you mention it, it does have a certain charm that seems to fit right in with the cobblestone streets of that era.
