Rock some Ray-Ban sunglasses as summer heats up. Don’t miss this one-day-only event featuring Japanese artist MHAK.

Now that we're in the middle of summer, sunglasses are an essential part of our daily lives.

Ray-Ban, the iconic brand, will hold an event at its Shibuya store in Tokyo on Friday, July 24.

This is part of “Ray-Ban Street Masters,” a project by Ray-Ban set in nine cities around the world. In collaboration with local artists in each city, the project aims to create new icons that symbolize each city by drawing on elements, scenery, and customs that only the people who live there truly understand.

The guest is Japanese artist MHAK.He also attracted attention for creating graphics based on the theme “RE:BORN” at the Shibuya store, which reopened this past March.

Four original designs by MHAK are now being added to the “Engraving” service at our Shibuya store. This service is available at select stores and allows you to create your own original design from a wide selection of icons and fonts, which can then be engraved on eyewear or cases right on the spot.

On the day of the event, in addition to a talk session with MHAK, there will also be a customization event where he will sign and draw artwork on eyewear cases and tote bags on the spot. Please note, however, that the number of customizations available is limited.

A limited number of original-design tote bags will be given away to customers who make a purchase on a first-come, first-served basis.

In addition, we’re told that original drinks and food inspired by the “Ray-Ban Street Masters” theme will be served.
