There are people known as collectors in the world of fashion as well, and the items they collect may become increasingly important clues for exploring the creators’ identities as time goes on.
I thought that when I saw the announcement for the pop-up event hosted by .
The event is titled ‘SELECTED WORKS ’982–’026 STONE ISLAND: THE COLLECTOR SERIES.” It will take place at “The Corner Shop,” an event space within the London department store “Selfridges.”
This project features some of the world’s leading collectors and retailers of rare *Stone Island* items. They will showcase their research, archives, and unique perspectives on the brand, displaying and selling these items alongside *Stone Island*’s current collection and limited-edition pieces from *Selfridges*.
Exclusive to Selfridges
Gathered here are collectors of Arco Maher, Louis Holsgrove, and SimJae, along with five shops: ‘Better Gift Shop” in Canada, “194 Local” and “Pezze” in London, “Metallic Curtain” in Paris, and “‘bout” in Tokyo.

Robert Trefas, President and CEO of *Stone Island*, had the following to say about this project:
“Stone Island is not a brand that has existed solely through the clothing we create. Its culture has also been shaped by the people who have discovered, worn, preserved, and reinterpreted our products. In ‘THE COLLECTOR SERIES,’ we bring the voices of these people to the forefront and offer an opportunity to view the brand from a unique perspective through the experiences and personal histories of collectors from around the world.”
The pop-up event runs through Friday, November 6. To coincide with this, a cultural program has been organized that explores *Stone Island* from a variety of perspectives, including video, sound, and talks.Check the official website for details.
Come to think of it, *Stone Island* has long featured collectors as models in its campaign visuals. I find it a sign of their generosity that they value and officially recognize these individuals.
This is an interesting initiative that offers a deep look into a unique brand. If you're planning a trip to London, be sure to check it out.
