It has been exactly 30 years since the Amsterdam, the Netherlands-based denim brand "DENIM" was launched. The denim brand has always taken an avant-garde approach.G-Star RAW. has introduced the "dyed by nature collection," a collection dyed in a sustainable way with dyes made from reused edible plant and vegetable waste.
It all started in 2017. It began with the world's first denim brand to collaborate with Archroma, a company specializing in dyes and specialty chemicals, to release a collection of jeans dyed with plant-based dyes by EarthColors®. . EarthColors®, by the way, is a dye made from recycled waste plants. The entire process from sourcing the raw materials to the finished product can be tracked.
And now , G-Star Row is releasing a new collection for Fall 2019 called the "dyed by nature collection". Green and dark blue dyes made from recycled edible saw palmetto leaf waste and red dyes made from recycled edible beet waste are used in this collection.
The lineup includes denim jackets, shirts, sweatshirts, T-shirts, jeans, and more. All of these items are made of environmentally friendly materials such as organic cotton, recycled cotton, and TENCEL™ dyed with Earth Colors, and washed with G-Star Row's sophisticated designs.
Since 2006, G-Star Row has been developing denim items with an eye on the future by focusing on sustainable activities. All of them are scheduled to go on sale sequentially, so check the website often!
