DJ KRUSH x MURO! Blue Note 80th Anniversary MIX CD.

The jazz label Blue Note, which celebrated its 80th anniversary this year, has a number of events lined up, including the upcoming release of the documentary "Blue Note Records: Beyond Jazz" in Japan in September. As one of the contents that Japan will be presenting to the world, the 80th anniversary official mix CD "Diggin' On Blue mixed by DJ KRUSH & MURO" has been released.

DJ KRUSH and MURO, Japan's world-renowned King Of Diggin', have joined the label for this two-disc set, each featuring a nonstop mix of their own. The title "Diggin' On Blue" is a reference to the legendary mix CD series created by world-class DJs Pete Rock, Lord Finesse, and Biz Markie in 1999, the label's 60th anniversary year. Hip-hop freaks will recognize it!

Both DJs played a total of 45 tracks, with no overlap at all. Each DJ's individuality is fully demonstrated in the selection and mix, and their love for "Blue Note" and pride in being a DJ is evident. This is truly a new standard for Blue Note mix CDs. . "This time, I produced the NON STOP MIX with MURO as a two-disc set to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Blue Note. I took a HIPHOP approach to the mix, which is also my roots, and used sound sources and scratches in between the songs. I hope that the Blue Note classics will smoothly enter the listener's ears and that they will enjoy a good time and a KRUSH-like flow."
