sperga launches its first men's premium line. The new sneakers are reborn based on the archive.

When the sweltering heat continues, don't you tend to spend your days in the same style, wearing T-shirts, shorts, and sandals? However, for those who don't want to wear high-tech mesh sneakers, canvas sneakers are convenient for the standard-bearer.

Choosing a standard pair of sneakers is fine, but sometimes you want a little change. A sneaker that may resonate with such people is the Italian shoe brand <SUPERGAThe new product will be available from

The new line is called "ARTIFACT BY SUPERGA," the first premium line for men's wear by Sperga.

Since its birth in Italy in 1911, "Sperga" has been known as a standard brand of canvas sneakers. The brand has grown to be popular among a wide range of people, having produced tennis shoes and sneakers for the Italian military in the past.

This time, based on such archives of the past, we have created a new expression and presented two pairs of designs in each of the three categories of "Mil Spec," "Works," and "Deck.

The finish is a combination of old and new, with reinforced foxing tape, a change to waxed laces, and a heel patch designed in the image of Sperga's tennis shoes from the 1950s.

The release date is set for Wednesday, August 26 globally, and will be available in Japan at the ISETAN Shoe Expo 2020 to be held on the 6th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku main building.

The "Mil-Spec" uses Japanese denim fabric from "Kuroki," known for its high quality, for the upper. The ruggedness that seems to be military style is attractive, such as adopting the calendar sole found in the archives.

Both are available in olive, brown, and white.

The "Works" is literally inspired by the worker style. As is typical of European brands, moleskin material is used for the upper, which is unusual. The sole uses a cupsole from the archives of the 1970s.

Both will be available in five colors: khaki, white, navy, and two blackish colors.

As the name suggests, the "Deck" series is inspired by deck shoes. While the canvas uppers and rubber soles are typical of "Sperga," the shoes have a different and special feel.

Both are available in three basic colors: navy, white, and brown.

Each series has a sole that is all themed. This will be fun to compare and choose the best one to wear.

Incidentally, the designer chosen for Artifact by Sperga is Teppei Sugaya, a graduate of Central Saint Martins in England who has worked for Diesel and other companies.
