Spotify launches a podcast "listening to a comedy show. Three members of Robert were chosen as hosts.

Comedy is now enjoyed by everyone as a part of culture, regardless of whether you are in the East or the West. However, are you dissatisfied with the recent trend toward talk variety programs that feature few comedies?

In response to this, Spotify, a music streaming service that hopes to make it easier for people to enjoy comedy, has launched an original podcast program hosted by popular comedy trio Robert, "Robert presents Listen to Contrast Program - Akiyama Daiichi Biru Jing. The program will be available exclusively on Spotify from Monday, October 12.

This is the first original comedy show on Spotify in Japan. The program is a comedy show that takes place in a fictitious building called "Akiyama Daiichi Building," where the three hosts secretly listen in on the guests' quarrels.

Guests will include a number of popular comedians; Sissonne and New York were chosen as guests for the first episode, which premiered on Monday, October 12.

The program aims not only to make it easy for listeners to enjoy comedy, but also to create opportunities for the next generation of comedians and talented contortionists to showcase their creativity. The winners and top prize winners of the TBS TV program "King of Contest" are scheduled to appear on the stage.

I am looking forward to starting a "listening comedy show" as a new stage of comedy. Unlike television or radio, podcasts have no restrictions on the length of material, sets, or costumes, so I would like to pursue laughter more freely and to the fullest. Since there are no visuals, just voices, I think it will be interesting to see the facial expressions and situations of the comedians as it sparks the imagination. I would like the guests to use it as an opportunity to experiment. Like just blabbering or chewing sounds that you can't do on stage (laughs). It would be great if we could invite a lot of comedians who like to do comedy as guests.
