Monsieur Yves Saint Laurent became the successor to Christian Dior at the age of 21 upon the latter's death. Monsieur Yves Saint Laurent became the standard-bearer of the new mode with the launch of his Trapeze line and the SAINT LAURENT label. In his later years, he was awarded the Commandeur de la Legion d'Honneur by President Jacques Chirac.
Along with that success story was the Cassandra logo. The logo was designed by Adolphe Moulon Cassandre, a master of graphic design.
The Cassandra logo, so called because his pen name was A.M. Cassandra, is characterized by a long, flat font, straight and curved lines that support each other, and a combination of "Y", "S", and "L". "L", which is a combination of straight and curved lines that support each other. The minimalist design, strongly influenced by cubism, broke with convention and was a perfect match for Monsieur's clothes, which created a new style of fashion.
Last year, a bag named "Cassandra" with the Cassandra logo was released for women's wear and became a topic of conversation, and it is now also available in leather goods for men's wear.
The logo changes its appearance depending on the leather used: silver for matte leather, gold for shiny leather, and black for grain de poudre-embossed leather. The logo is exquisitely blended in with the body while subtly asserting its presence.
